My aim is to achieve the best possible music education by involving and further developing the identity, experiences and the ambitions of individual students. With customized education and appropriate guidance, I encourage the formation and development of musical creativity so that each student can develop their own playing style and taste at their own pace and in their own way.
Through my natural and authentic communication, I aim for a well-considered, personal and purpose-based alternation between playing for fun and setting them adequate challenges. This way the student feels comfortable in a safe environment; The right climate to learn.
I am a teacher of percussion didactics at Codarts, the conservatory in Rotterdam, where I teach students the ability to educate. In addition, I am a marimba teacher at the Havo/vwo voor Muziek en Dans. Of course, I don’t only limit myself to finding and developing talents, but I like to spread my knowledge and methodology across all other levels and target groups as well. At the Music Academy of the International School of Amsterdam I am a marimba teacher and I teach extracurricular private and group lessons. As coordinator of education at the Percussion Friends Foundation, I work hard to further develop and expand the world of percussion education.
By combining appealing themes, humour, teamwork and interaction, music theater and all sorts of other aspects I create fun, stimulating, challenging and interesting pieces of music that complement your music education and provide a good variety within that education.
